Service Description: In fall of 2019, the NOAA Hydrographic Survey vessel Fairweather conducted multibeam acoustic bathymetry and backscatter surveys in areas within Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary and Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary. These mapping cruises were conducted for EXPRESS, an inter-agency federal and non-federal oceanographic research cooperative of the U.S. Geological Survey, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, and Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute.
This set of shaded relief images was generated from the bathymetric survey sheets W00478 and W00477, which are publicly available to view and download through the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information bathymetric data archive.
