Service Description:
Data depicts bathymetry of Grand Bay obtained from H-sheets from the 1850s. Bathymetry data were downloaded from the USGS data release web pages (see data sources below). The downloaded files were opened in ArcGIS Pro 2.8, re-projected into WGS84 to match ArcGIS Online basemap projections, the depth value range was set to 0 to 10.8203, and the symbology was set to a blue color range. Darker blue values indicate a deeper depth, and lighter blue values indicate a shallower depth. Each bathymetry dataset was shared to ArcGIS Online as a hosted tile layer and accompanying service definition. This tile layer is to be used in the Historical Grand Bay Bathymetry Web Map.
