Service Description:

Abstract

Sentinel-2 mosaic, covering the British Antarctic Territory, generated from cloud-free pixels of Sentinel-2 images, acquired during the 2024-2025 Antarctic season, displayed as True-Colour synthesis. Mosaic has a spatial resolution of 10m.

Lineage

Mosaic was generated by averaging cloud-free pixels of Sentinel-2 images, acquired from 2024-11-01 to 2025-04-01, using Google Earth Engine COPERNICUS/S2_HARMONIZED and GOOGLE/CLOUD_SCORE_PLUS/V1/S2_HARMONIZED datasets. 0.75 threshold was applied for filtering cloudy pixels. After the export of the tiled mosaic, tiles were converted to 8-bit RGB rasters, using Red, Green, and Blue (B04, B03, B02), bands and Alpha-layer and stretched between 2 and 98 percentiles of pixels values.
