Service Description:

Scenic Rim Regional Council's riverine flood mapping is based on the 1% Annual Exceedance Probability (AEP) event. An 1% AEP flood event represents a flood that has a 1% chance of being equalled or exceeded in any year.

The updated modeling is based on the following updated and improved information:

updated rainfall and storm event information
new overlay mapping
studies of local catchments previously not included in modeling data
assessment of various rainfall events and the potential volume of water involved
new modeling technology providing a greater quality and increased reliability of modeling output
