Service Description: This tile layer was created with a high-resolution satellite image of New Orleans. This image was captured on August 30, 2005, which is one day after Hurricane Katrina hit the city. This image shows the flood damage that occurred in the city. From this image, the different areas of flooding that occurred in New Orleans and which parts of the city were the most effected can be seen. This image shows how the different levees of the canals that are connected to Lake Pontchartrain breeched and caused catastrophic flooding for New Orleans East.
