Service Description:

A 1-kilometer raster file with 1 band containing normalized Z-scores for plastic waste generation by country. Values were calculated as the difference between the national mean plastic waste generated per square kilometer and a 10 km neighborhood mean divided by the national standard deviation. These statistics were derived from the raster entitled “GIS Layer of West Africa Coastal Area Estimated Annual Plastic Waste Generation.”

The data were created to support World Bank circular economy work in the West Africa Coastal Area (WACA): West Africa, Benin, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mauritania, Nigeria, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, Togo
