Subject: This map provides a model for prioritizing locations for installing new street litter fill sensors. These sensors will enhance the efficiency and reduce the costs for collection services. The original model with 12 layers was constructed using attractor layers from the master pedestrian plan. Then a least squares analysis was conducted to narrow down attractor layers to those who are correlated to sensors that have a fill rate of 7 days or less. The final 6 layers explained the sensors locations that fill within 7 days by 44% which is an acceptable rate given the lack of study or in depth-investigation. While all sensors locations correlate to the general pattern that was found in the original model that included 12 layers, the correlation is noticeable between the final model and the active sensors. Hence, this model can serve as a base line for finding new locations for installing sensors that have the potential to fill up within 7 days. Additional steps may be required.
