Service Description:

This is a map showing non-accessible boat areas (i.e. land and shallow reefs) in the Maldives as of March 2020. The shapefiles originated from a dataset provided by the Waitt Institute that identified island use type. To create this data layer, polygons were reshaped to exclude lagoons, harbors and docks. These modifications were made based off of visual assessments of imaging in the ArcPro GIS satellite base layer.
