Subject: Comparison of Lake Poyang imagery map between 1984 and 2014 to quantify the surface of the lake and show changes over time. Using geoprocessing tools like Iso Cluster Unsupervised classification, Majority Filter, and Boundary Clean tools. this methods will able to classify land cover to measure shrinking Lake Poyang. It indicates that Lake Poyang has a severe problem: It lost a thousand of hectares in only 30 years. It needs to stop the sand quarrying and the practice of storing water at the Three Gorges Dam. The lake provides a habitat for half a million migratory birds and is a favorite destination for birding.
