Service Description: Climatic breadth assesses multivariate variance in present day climate across a species’ current range. Species with narrow climate breadths are likely to be more sensitive to changes in climate than those with wide climate breadths because they may only be adapted to a narrow range of climate conditions. The map shows climate breadth as measured by the distance from the multivariate mean climate across the species’ range.
