The downloaded plat map is georeferenced using the spline transformation with mainly the 2021 Rice County parcel boundary as reference features and a few control points based on the PLSS section boundary. The georeferenced plat map is a good approximation of the historical property boundaries, but the boundaries are not very accurate. The accuracy of the the area covering City Garbage grounds, the land owned by J.C. Arnold and the land owned by J.S. Tripp could potentially be poor due to lack of reference features.
