Service Description: We extracted total carbon values for each EPA level II ecoregion separately, classifying the locations that fell into the top 20% of the distribution in green. The result was a map of ecoregion-specific carbon, ensuring equal representation of all ecoregions relative to size. Total carbon is based on a high-resolution map of global above- and below-ground carbon stored in biomass and soil by Soto-Navarro et al. 2020.
