Service Description: The
suitability of land for the cultivation of a given crop/LUT (Land utilization
types) depends on crop requirements as compared to the prevailing agro-climatic
and agro-edaphic conditions. GAEZ combines these two components by successively
modifying grid-cell specific agro-climatic suitabilities according to edaphic
suitabilities of location specific soil and terrain characteristics.
GAEZ
methodology: this report on model documentation provides information on
the structure of GAEZ methodology by individual modules.
