Service Description: Projected Temperature Change by 2050 (Scenario A1B) is projected to increase by 1 to 6 ºC depending on the scenarios and location. This layer depicts the A1B scenario of the predicted change in median annual temperature (Celsius degree) by the end of the year 2050.

Statistical Downscaling (Delta Method) based on thin plate spline spatial interpolation of anomalies (deltas) of original GCM outputs were applied. Anomalies are interpolated between GCM cell centroids and are then applied to a baseline climate given by a high resolution surface (WorldClim; Hijmans et al. 2005)

The WorldClim version 1.4 (release 3) was developed by Robert J. Hijmans, Susan Cameron, and Juan Parra, at Museum of Vertebrate Zoology, University of California, Berkeley, in collaboration with Peter Jones and Andrew Jarvis (CIAT) and Karen Richardson (Rainforest CRC).
