Service Description:
The local connectedness pixel values refer to a relative measure of resistance that different types of land cover offer to the movement of organisms. These values were assigned by biome and the assumption is that the greater the structural difference between a given type of land cover and the original vegetation of the biome, the greater the value of the pixels that make up that specific type of cover. In this raster, the Kernel linear decay function was used to consider the spatial context in which each pixel is inserted in, recognizing that closer pixels have a greater influence on each other than more distant pixels.
