Service Description:
This data layer is derived from the 2021 application of the Sea Level Affecting Marshes Model (SLAMM) to coastal Maryland (Warren Pinnacle Consulting, Inc., 2021), specifically the model run under the 50% Likelihood, Growing Emissions scenario of 2.95 feet of sea level rise by 2100 from a baseline year of 2010 at the Cambridge, Maryland tide gage (Boesch et al., 2018). The attribute 'Year' indicates the latest year that a location is still classified as tidal forested wetlands or tidal cypress swamp in the SLAMM outputs (decadal outputs 2010-2100). A value of -9999 indicates that the location was not classified as either tidal forested wetland or tidal cypress swamp in the SLAMM baseline year of 2010. Attribute fields and GIS process steps are listed below.

This data layer was developed by The Nature Conservancy. Source data includes SLAMM outputs (Warren Pinnacle Consulting, Inc, 2021) and National Wetlands Inventory (US Fish and Wildlife Service). The data was developed as part of a project led by the University of Maryland with funding from the US Forest Service. The Nature Conservancy is the steward of this data.
