Service Description: The source data contains point features representing high wind event locations. These features were rasterized into a 100 meter grid in which each cell contains the number of wind events that occurred in that cell. The Focal Statistics tool was used to create a continuous 100 meter raster in which each cell indicates the number of wind events that occurred within a 10 mile radius of that cell. The values in this raster were divided by the number of years of data (55) to give the average annual number of high wind events within ten miles of each cell.
